Oh Olivia once again you have mesmerized me and woken a part of me I can barely feel, but do, and won’t let her go. I’ve been awake since 3:30 AM. The quietest time of all on earth. As a teenager I had a TV in my room that rarely ever got turned on, because I constantly had my nose stuck in a book. I’ve been a voracious reader since my mom taught me to read at age 4 and a journaler since about 8.
Two years ago I found a high school journal of over 500 pages chronicling my teenage life in detail from 1979-1983.
I felt as if I’d entered a Time Machine, and been granted a glimpse back at the me of yesteryear and granted a unique chance to revisit that time through teen eyes.
It was a reminder to me of the invaluable treasure we leave both ourselves and others when we dare to chronicle our lives, our experiences and the times in which we live.
Happy Blessed Birthday to my beautiful longtime friend who is truly a person of many wonderful talents, you never cease to amaze me, from your adventures in travel to your life changing story telling that captivates my heart every time I read your stories of life, and seeing it in a way that I never would have imagined, taking me on a journey beyond what I could or would have ever imagined myself.
