Beautiful story! So glad Wahoo is part of the family now! I am convinced that pets (dogs in my view) are gifts from God and truly have a profound effect on family dynamics - they become part of the family! They really are "man's/woman's best friend! We have always been "dog" people. Our first doggies passed in 2020 - Pepper (Shi Tzu) in January and Fletcher (Pit Bull) the following October. I didn't think I would ever be able to have another dog; was so devastated. But after two years, though I was still telling my husband I wasn't ready, he brought home the cutest doggie - a long haired dachshund we named Dax. He has been a godsend π. The thing is, regardless of what kind of day we may experience, when we get home and walk through the door to a wagging tail and the obvious enthusiasm/display of unconditional love, this just warms our hearts. Dogs are not "fair-weather" friends; they are with us all the way - ride or die for sure! π
That is so delightful! Yes I was dragged into pet ownership but it has reaped untold rewards. We actually have joint custody with our daughters. They have her on weekends. We have her through the week, and we actually miss her the two days that sheβs gone! I canβt imagine life without her now. Thanks for sharing your doggie tales!β€οΈ
I fully empathize. Our bodies were not designed for the constant rapid fire bombardment with bad news, volatility and chaos that weβre being offered in this season.
I saw this Political Horror Show in 2016. I give it zero stars and am wholly disinterested in the sequel with which weβre being presented.
Pace yourself, there is a long, dark, bumpy road ahead. I believe we will eventually come through on the other side and be better for it, but we have to get there first!
Thank you, dear Olivia. We have always had dogs, cats, birds, and even a monkey as pets. I know what you experience and share with us. Seven years ago, my husband had a heart attack, and our dog was always with him, doing his best to help him recover.
Wow! That is truly a delightful story about your husband and the dog. Ours is a super helpful creature.
I am still stunned that my husband went to all those doctors, and as soon as he got a dog, the problems began to subside. Iβve decided dogs are magical creatures!π

Thank you Olivia. Your heartwarming, love expanding message touched me and I am saying, "Yes".
Thanks for reading and sharing this kind thought! Iβm heartened to know my intent was received as intended! β€οΈ
Thank you Olivia. I am thinking frequently of your words. My nervous system is frayed and depressive and anxious thoughts are following me around.
I am trying to be quiet and kind to myself.π

At the moment, we have no dogs but three cats.
